A superb imitation of an adult caddis fly. The combination of deer hair and rooster hackle gives this fly excellent buoyancy. A key feature is the antennae, which stick out just like those of the natural insect. It has been observed that after a number of takes, when the fish break off the antennae, the fly loses some of its attractiveness. This pattern is exceptionally effective. Whether you are fishing a mountain stream or a lowland river, it will perform equally well.
