A precise imitation of an adult mayfly. Mayfly patterns are highly effective, especially during a hatch, when almost all fish switch exclusively to feeding on mayflies and ignore other lures. There are even recorded cases of pike taking a mayfly imitation during this period, though landing them is difficult since the ultra-fine leaders used for this type of fishing are instantly cut by sharp pike teeth.
